Best practices for setting up the app
Getting started with RingSizer
August 21, 2025
Step 1 – Configure the Essentials
Choose Product Types
Go to Product Types in your Shopify admin. Select all Product Types that are used for rings. We have created a quick youtube tutorial on how to bulk edit these.
Ensure your products (rings) share the same Product Type so the Find My Size button appears correctly.
💡 Tip: If your rings aren’t consistently labeled, update them in bulk to avoid missing placements.
Set Size Variant Names
Add all variant names used for ring sizes in your store. Examples: Ring size, Size, Size (US)
RingSizer uses these to match the predicted size with your in-stock sizes.
Select the Ring Size Scale
Choose the correct sizing standard for your market:
ISO size (internal ring circumference in mm, e.g. 60)
US/Canada/Mexico
UK/Ireland/Australia/South Africa
Italy/Spain/Netherlands/Switzerland
South America & East Asia (Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan)
💡 Tip: ISO is the most universal and future-proof option if you sell internationally.
Step 2 – Add the Button to Your Theme
Placement Options
Product Page: The most common spot is near the size dropdown or add-to-cart button.
Size Guide Page: Perfect for customers actively looking for sizing info.
Custom Placement: Embed it anywhere you like — footer, blog post, campaign landing page.
💡 Pro Move: Add it as a standalone module at the bottom of your product pages with short explanatory text like “Not sure about your size? Find it here — in 60 seconds.”
Branding & Visuals
Logo: Upload your brand logo (.png) without excessive padding so it displays large and clear.
Inspirational Image: Choose a striking lifestyle shot for the RingSizer start screen if you want a custom branded experience.
Colors: Match RingSizer’s color scheme to your brand palette for a seamless user experience.
Advanced Settings
Select which FAQ questions appear for customers.
Add custom CTA button copy to match tone of voice of your brand, and test what copy resonates the most with your audience. “Find my ring size” vs. “Measure your size with our app”
Step 3 – Preview & Test
Use the Preview Integration tool to see exactly how it looks and confirm everything is working. If something is off, the preview will highlight it.
Product Type – Confirms that the product you’ve chosen (e.g. ring) matches your configured product types. ✅ means it’s correct.
Variant Name – Checks if the size variant name (e.g.
Ring size) matches the names you’ve added in settings. ✅ means the match is working.Size Matching – Verifies that RingSizer can match a predicted size to your in-stock sizes. ❌ means there’s a problem to fix before launch.
Theme Status – Confirms that the theme you’ve chosen for integration is published and live. ✅ means good to go.

Don’t limit RingSizer to just your product page.
Add it as a module to your Size Guide page.
Create a dedicated Find Your Ring Size page in your footer.
